In Products: Columbia Unveils Tech, Value Funds

PORTLAND, Ore. - Columbia Funds this week introduced two no-load portfolios, the Columbia Technology Fund and Columbia Strategic Value Fund, the first tech and value products in its fund family.

The company also announced Monday that shareholders in its U.S. Government Securities Fund had approved a proposal to change the investment objective, strategy, and name of the portfolio to Columbia Short-Term Bond Fund. The new name enables investments in a wider array of high-quality short-term bonds.

Columbia, which manages $22 billion of assets, has 14 no-load mutual funds in addition to retirement plans, trust pools, and separate accounts for institutions and high-net-worth individuals.
