TOKYO -- JCB International Co., the Japanese credit card operator, said it will employ two transaction processors in an effort to expand acceptance of its card in U.S. retail locations.
The companies -- National Processing Co., a unit of National City Corp., and National Bancard Co., a subsidiary of First Financial Management Corp. - are leaders in the credit card specialty known as merchant processing.
JCB, which also has processing arrangements with several U.S. credit card banks, said 300,000 U.S. merchants accept the JCB card.
