JPM Chase Plans to Lift Salary Freeze

JPMorgan Chase & Co. employees learned Monday that a salary freeze that was in place for all employees earning more than $60,000 will be lifted, according to an internal JPMorgan memo.

The memo, which was sent to all employees by John Donnelly, director of human resources, stated: "We now plan to lift that salary freeze globally as part of our yearend performance and compensation review process, with raises effective early next year."

The company also has decided to make a full 2009 401(k) matching payment for eligible employees after having suspended the match this year.
