Maryland National Mortgage Corp., Baltimore, has hired David W. Pannell as senior vice president for marketing.
He will be responsible for managing the the company's mortgage pipeline and interest-rate risk, coordinating branches, and other functions.
Mr. Pannell had been with the secondary mortgage department at Marine Midland Mortgage Corp., Buffalo.
Maryland National Mortgage was acquired by First Tennessee National Corp. earlier this year. It services a loan portfolio of about $4.4 billion.
The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
