NEW YORK -- MasterCard International awarded its $60 million U.S. advertising account to Ammirati & Puris.
The New York agency replaces Lintas: New York, which managed the card association's advertising since 1987. Ammirati & Puris, whose clients have included BMW and Aetna Life and Casualty Co., bested Fallon McElligott of Minneapolis in the finals of MasterCard's six-month agency review.
The new agency's ads, building on the theme "more value for the way we really live," are expected to appear early next year.
