McDonald's to Offer Workers Education

Visa Inc. and McDonald's USA LLC are offering financial education programs to the Oak Brook, Ill., fast food company's employees.

McDonald's said Thursday that the Practical Money Skills program, one of the country's largest employer-sponsored financial literacy efforts, will be available to more than 500,000 employees at most of its 14,000 U.S. restaurants.

Participants will receive a budgeting guide to track expenses and access to online and video materials based on Visa's Practical Money Skills for Life. The materials will be available in English and Spanish.

Visa has offered its financial literacy programs since 1996. More than 20 states distribute them to public high school students.
