McGraw-Hill forms group of six information units.

McGraw-Hill Inc. said yesterday it has created a division of financial information services organizations, headed by James R. Quandt.

The Financial Information Services Group will comprise DRI/McGraw-Hill, J.J. Kenny Co., MMS International, Platt's, S&P Equity Services, and S & P Securities Inc.

The executives who run the six, companies will report to Quandt, McGraw-Hill said in a statement.

S&P Ratings Group, headed by Leo C. O'Neill, will remain a separate. entity reporting directly to Harold McGraw 3d, McGraw-Hill's president and chief operating officer.
