Mich. Bank's President, CEO To Add Title Of Chairman

Citizens Banking Corp., Flint, Mich., has chosen president and chief executive officer Robert J. Vitito for the additional post of chairman.

He is to succeed Charles R. Weeks on April 20. Mr. Weeks, who is to remain a director, relinquished the CEO post in 1995 when he retired from active management.

Mr. Vitito joined a former Citizens Banking subsidiary, Second National Bank of Saginaw, Mich., in 1967 as a management trainee. He later headed branch administration and marketing; in 1986 he was promoted to president of Second National. In 1994 he became president and chief administrative officer of Citizens.

The company has $4.4 billion of assets.
