Minority banks join IBAA card affiliate.

WASHINGTON -- The National Bankers Association announced an affiliation with IBAA Bancard, the credit card affiliate of the Independent Bankers Association of America.

The National Bankers Association represents more than 100 banks owned by women or members of minority groups. Its president, Samuel L. Foggie, said that IBAA Bancard "provides our association with another lending vehicle for minority-owned banks."

Member banks can issue their own cards and get group processing through IBAA, which uses the facilities of Tampa, Fla.-based Equifax Card Services.
