Money Market Assets Slipped in Latest Week

Assets invested in the country's money market mutual funds dipped 0.52% to $1.157 trillion in the week that ended April 22.

Assets in institutional money market funds fell 0.1%, to $449.77 billion, according to the Investment Company Institute, a Washington trade group that tracks more than 1,000 money market mutual funds.

Retail funds saw their assets decrease by 0.7%, to $707.7 billion. Assets in 335 taxable retail money market funds slipped 0.3%, to $575.2 billion, while those in 258 taxable funds declined 0.2%, to $132.48 billion.
