NEW YORK - Moody's Investors Service has put the long-term credit ratings of Aetna Services Inc. and its affiliates that are being bought by ING on review for a possible upgrading, to A3 for its senior debt.

The review comes after Aetna's announcement that it has a definitive agreement to sell its financial services and international operations to ING, the financial services giant based in the Netherlands, in a transaction valued at $7.7 billion.

Aetna's health insurance operations will be spun off to shareholders as part of the deal.
