National Bank of Greece, Athens, has hired Jack Steinmetz as manager of its Chicago operations.

He succeeded Vasilios "Bill" Katsaras, who retired June 30.

Mr. Steinmetz had been a first vice president with Comerica Bank Illinois until Amsterdam-based ABN Amro Holding acquired it this year.

National Bank of Greece, with assets of $45.7 billion, has U.S. operations based in Chicago, Boston and New York.
