Natwest Private Banking Unit Hires Morgan Veteran

Coutts & Co., the London-based private bank, has snagged a J.P. Morgan veteran to cultivate clients in New York.

Gaetano "Guy" R. Vicinelli joined the Coutts Americas region management team - a division of National Westminster Bank's private banking subsidiary - as a vice president on March 1.

Mr. Vicinelli spent the past 25 years at J.P. Morgan & Co. in New York, holding managing director positions in both investment and private banking.

A Coutts spokeswoman said the appointment is part of an expansion at its U.S. division. Mr. Vicinelli's object is to develop service in New York for visiting clients from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

"A professional of his caliber will certainly enhance our market penetration and client service capabilities in these markets," said New York branch manager Peter Cawdron in a release.
