New Orleans bank adds two investment bankers to public finance unit.

ATLANTA - New Orleans-based First National Bank of Commerce last week hired two investment bankers for its public finance department.

The bank has brought on Glenn Haydel and Stephanie Ferry as vice presidents, said Howard C. Gaines, First National chairman and chief executive officer.

Duties assigned to Haydel and Ferry will include establishing and developing financial advisory services and financing structures for issuers throughout Louisiana, Gaines said.

Haydel was a vice president with Lamaute Financial Group's investment banking division in Los Angeles. Before that he was vice president of public finance with First Charlotte Co. in Charlotte, N.C. Haydel has also been a vice president in public finance at Scharff & Jones Inc. in New Orleans.

Before joining First National, Ferry was a vice president and program administrator with CitiState Advisors, a Baton Rouge-based financial advisory firm. Ferry has also worked as an associate and assistant account executive with Scharff & Jones.
