Richard D. Schonhoff has been named president, chief executive, and a director of Northern Trust Bank/O'Hare, Chicago, a subsidiary of Northern Trust Corp.
Mr. Schonhoff is a 26-year Northern Trust veteran and most recently headed the Chicago office's mortgage lending activities.
He succeeds H.H. Tyler, who has assumed similar positions at Northern Trust Bank/Lake Forest. Mr. Tyler is also responsible for Northern's Winnetka and Highland Park financial centers.
Mr. Tyler succeeds John A. Andersen, who after 21 years as president and chief executive will retire from the Lake Forest bank in February. He will remain chairman of the board.
In addition, Robert E. Ross, executive vice president, has been promoted to vice chairman of the Lake Forest bank.
