Obama to Meet with Economic Team

President-elect Barack Obama will meet with his economic transition team Friday in Chicago before giving his first news conference since Tuesday's election.

The meeting's participants will include former Treasury Secretaries Robert Rubin and Lawrence Summers, former Federal Reserve Board Chairman Paul Volcker, and former Fed Vice Chairman Roger Ferguson.

Others expected to attend include former Commerce Secretary William Daley, now the chairman of the Midwest region for JPMorgan Chase & Co.; former Securities and Exchange Commissioners Roel Campos and William Donaldson; Warren Buffett, the chairman and chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.; former Labor Secretary Robert Reich; and Laura Tyson, the former chairman of the National Economic Council and the President's Council of Economic Advisers.
