Pacific Bank names Dean to top posts.

Norman E. Dean has been elected chairman and chief executive officer of Pacific Bank, San Francisco, replacing Norman C. Eckersley, who will become chairman emeritus.

Mr. Dean, 49, was chairman and CEO of the Nestle Beverage Co. and a member of the U.S. steering committee at the parent Nestle SA/Switzerland, which consolidated sales in this country into a new unit, Nestle USA Co.

The Pacific appointment is subject to regulatory approval. Mr. Dean has been a member of the bank's board since last December.

Mr. Eckersley, 71, will remain on the board and continue to assist the bank's management in constituency relationships, Pacific said.

Michael Tun Zan, president and chief operating officer, and Richard Shemano, executive vice president, will retain primary responsibility for the bank's day-to-day activities and will remain board members.
