People's Bank Names Executives

NEW ENGLAND

People's Bank, Bridgeport, Conn., has promoted Bryan J. Huebner to executive vice president of the newly created consumer financial services division.

The division, which will focus on Connecticut businesses, includes consumer deposit and insurance, residential lending, consumer credit, investment services, and product research and development.

Mr. Huebner, who joined the bank in 1975, was a senior vice president and manager of human resources and strategic planning. Before that, he was a senior vice president and Hartford regional manager.

Mr. Huebner has also served as chairman of People's corporate quality improvement team.

In addition, the bank has promoted Barbara Phillips to first vice president of human resources. She had been a vice president, responsible for employee relations and recruitment.

Ms. Phillips, who joined the bank in 1986 as a corporate training manager in human resources, has also been a marketing manager for People's northwest region. In 1990, she was named manager of the sales, service, and technical training.
