PROVIDENT Savings Bank, Haverstraw, N.Y., said Katherine A. Dering has joined the bank as senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Ms. Dering will supervise the bank's accounting and finance, as well as planning and control.
She had been senior vice president and chief financial officer of Great Country Bank, Ansonia, Conn.
In addition, Stephen G. Dotmet has joined Provident Savings as senior vice president and manager of commercial, lending.
Mr. Dormer will manage the department responsible for developing new commercial loan business for the bank. He will also administer the bank's commercial loan portfolio.
He has been senior vice president and head of the business strategies division of National Westminster Bancorp.
