BIRMINGHAM- Regions Financial Corp. said it would buy First Commercial Bancshares of Chalmette, La., for $20.3 million in stock.
First Commercial's subsidiary is First National Bank of St. Bernard Parish, which has $113 million of assets and five offices, three in Chalmette and one each in Arabi and Poydras.
Regions has $11.7 billion of assets.
