PERSONNEL SHARING: Proposal by banking and thrift regulators to broaden exemptions to a federal law prohibiting banking institutions from sharing top personnel. To be published in the Federal Register. Comments due Oct. 9.

MORTGAGE PROGRAM: Proposal by the Federal Housing Finance Board to allow a mortgage pilot program run by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago to be implemented nationwide. Published in the Federal Register on Aug. 7. Comments due Sept. 6.

DEPOSIT INSURANCE: Proposal by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. to expand and simplify deposit insurance coverage of joint accounts and payable-on-death accounts. Published July 17. Comments due Oct. 15.

CONSUMER DEBT: Proposal by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council to set a uniform 150-day chargeoff requirement for all consumer loans. Currently banks have up to 180 days to charge off credit cards but only 120 days to write off installment loans. Published July 6. Comments due Sept. 4.
