Retail Money Fund Assets Fall $1.78 Billion

Assets in retail money market mutual funds fell to $566.46 billion during the week ending June 12, a decrease of $1.78 billion from the previous week, according to the Investment Company Institute.

Overall, assets in money market mutual funds totaled $820.38 billion for the week. One week prior, they stood at $816.64 billion.

Taxable retail money market funds fell by $751.8 million, finishing the week at $460.23 billion. Assets in tax-exempt retail funds slipped by $1.03 billion, to $106.23 billion.

Institutional money market funds gained in the week, adding $5.52 billion in assets to reach $253.92 billion. Taxable funds grew by $5.55 billion to $226.04 billion, while tax-exempt funds fell by $31.1 million to $27.88 billion.
