Roundup: BankAmerica CRA Lending Rose 9.2% in '94

SAN FRANCISCO - BankAmerica Corp. said it made $5.9 billion in Community Reinvestment Act-related loans last year, 9.2% more than in 1993.

The loans were made to homebuyers and consumers with low or moderate incomes, to small businesses, and to developers of multifamily affordable housing.

Some $3.7 billion went toward the bank's 10-year CRA lending goal of $12 billion, BankAmerica said. The year's performance puts BankAmerica at 72% of its community lending goal for the 10 years that started in early 1992.
