Roundup: Keycorp Acquires Denver's Omnibancorp

CLEVELAND - Keycorp said it had completed its acquisition of Omnibancorp, Denver.

The combination doubles Keycorp's presence in Colorado, specifically along the Denver and Cheyenne, Wyo., corridor, the bank said.

Omnibancorp, which has assets of more than $500 million and 19 offices in the greater Denver area, is the holding company for five affiliates operating under the name Omnibank, each a Colorado-chartered commercial bank.

Keycorp's Key Bank of Colorado operates 16 offices with nearly $700 million in assets. The Omnibanks will operate as subsidiaries of Keycorp, and are expected to merge with Key Bank of Colorado in July. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The merger was first announced Sept. 1.
