The Treasury Department plans to sell its 88.4 million warrants to purchase JPMorgan Chase & Co. stock in an auction on Thursday.
In its announcement Tuesday, the Treasury said the minimum bid price for the warrants is $8 each.
The auction will be the second held by the Treasury to sell warrants it obtained in connection with capital injections provided under the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program.
The Treasury last week earned $146.5 million from its sale of warrants to purchase Capital One Financial stock.
