Sheshunoff Web Kit for Smaller Banks

Sheshunoff Information Services has published a manual with a compact disc to help banks with less than $1 billion of assets develop an Internet presence.

The step-by-step guide is designed to appeal both to established banks on the Web and to those just getting started. Sheshunoff, an affiliate of Thomson Financial, as is American Banker, said banks below the $1 billion-asset threshold are responsible for 75% of Internet banking sites.

Vendor selection, security, marketing strategies, and hypertext links from the CD to pertinent Internet sites are covered in the $325 Internet banking package. Sheshunoff said its source of information and guidance was T. Jackie Cuevas, director of marketing at Q-Up Systems Inc.
