Short Takes: Bisys Unit Hires Exec To Get New Business

In a bid to step up its share of the retirement plan market, the Bisys Group's investment services unit has hired a new chief of business development for its plan services unit.

John R. Donadio will be responsible for helping the unit's mutual fund bank clients market, install, and administer defined contribution plans.

Bisys Investment Services is a division of Bisys Group, a Little Falls, N.J.-based financial services company that supplies 401(k) and mutual fund services to more than 38 banks.

An industry veteran, Mr. Donadio has spent 19 years in the pension and 401(k) plan arena. Most recently, he was national director of retirement plan sales for Financial Horizon, a subsidiary of Nationwide Insurance Group.

Mr. Donadio will be based at the plan services unit in Columbus, Ohio. He will report to Richard Stierwalt, president of Bisys Investment Services.
