Short takes: Keystone, Chase Settle Suit Over Commissions

Keystone Group Inc. said it has settled all outstanding issues stemming from a 1993 suit filed by Chase Manhattan Corp.

In an statement issued last week, Boston-based Keystone announced that the suit, concerning one of the first financing arrangements established for mutual fund commissions sales, had been terminated.

Chase had alleged that the fees it was to collect from nine Keystone mutual funds as part of the deal had fallen below what had been agreed. The case was dismissed from U.S. district court last month.
