Short Takes: Spectrem Hires Former Cerulli Consultant

Investment management consultant Eli E. Neusner, formerly of Cerulli Associates Inc., has joined the New York office of Spectrem Group as a senior consultant.

Mr. Neusner will work on sales and distribution strategies and product development for mutual fund companies, institutional asset managers, brokerage firms, and banks, said Peter J. Succoso, leader of the Spectrem's investment products practice.

At Cerulli, a Boston-based mutual fund consulting firm, Mr. Neusner worked on similar projects, including asset allocation programs, from 1993 to 1996. Before that, he was a research associate at Dane, Falb, Stone & Co., an investment management firm also in Boston.

At San Francisco-based Spectrem he reports to Mr. Succoso. After leaving Cerulli, Mr. Neusner worked independently as a consultant but "decided he would like to join a larger group," Mr. Succoso said.

Spectrem has expanded this year by hiring and through alliances with its new parent-PSI Global, a financial services market research firm based in Tampa-and with Access Research, PSI's retirement market research group in Windsor, Conn.
