Shortfall Seen in European Capital

European banks may need as much as $100 billion of additional capital to meet undrawn credit lines to companies, Fitch Inc. said.

The 20 largest banks in the Europe have $3.76 trillion of loans they have pledged under facilities, including revolving credits, Fitch said in a report issued Wednesday.
