Glen G. Simmons has joined Silicon Valley Bank, San Jose, Calif., as executive vice president and manager of human resources and administration.
Mr. Simmons, 51, was most recently senior vice president and manager of human resources for First Interstate Bank's northwest region, an organization with 7,000 employees.
He will be responsible for the management of Silicon Valley Bank's human resources, marketing and communications, compliance, and facilities departments.
Mr. Simmons has been in banking, mostly in human resources, for 18 years.
In addition to First Interstate, he has held senior positions with Seafirst Bank and Olympic Bank, both in Washington State.
Simmons was also responsible for designing human resource and training programs as head of human resources consulting for the West Coast regional office of Moss Adams, a public accounting firm.
