Silicon Valley Taps Controller To Succeed Chief Financial Officer

Silicon Valley Bancshares of Santa Clara, Calif., and its Silicon Valley Bank promoted senior vice president Christopher T. Lutes to executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Mr. Lutes, who was controller of the $2.8 billion-asset company, succeeded Scott H. Ray.

Mr. Ray joined Bay View Bank, San Mateo, on March 16 as senior vice president and CFO.

At Silicon Valley, chief administrative officer Barbara Kamm had been interim CFO.
