Southern National to Buy Workmen's Bancorp
LUMBERTON, N.C. -- Southern National Corp. said it had reached an agreement to acquire Workmen's Bancorp in an exchange of stock worth about $37 million.
Workmen's will bring Southern National's network to 154 offices in North and South Carolina.
