Southington Savings Names Executive

NEW ENGLAND

Southington Savings Bank, the principal subsidiary of Bancorp Connecticut, said it was expanding its commercial division and announced a related promotion and hiring.

The bank promoted William DellaVecchia to business development officer for commercial business.

He will be the ombudsman for the Southington business community, developing business relationships. He retains his senior vice president title and responsibilities as manager of all commercial lending at the bank.

Southington Savings also hired William Taylor as senior vice president and manager in the commercial loan department. He had been manager of the central Connecticut commercial lending group at Webster Bank, Waterbury, Conn. Before that, he worked for Shawmut National Corp. and its predecessor Hartford National Bank.
