Suffolk Bancorp In N.Y. Names Kohlmann as President, CEO

Suffolk Bancorp in Riverhead, N.Y., has promoted Thomas S. Kohlmann to president and chief executive officer.

He succeeded John F. Hanley, who died Oct. 3.

Mr. Kohlmann, 52, had been executive vice president since January of last year.

He joined Suffolk in 1991 as vice president in charge of loan and credit administration at its Suffolk County National Bank. Earlier he was president of the Long Island division of Marine Midland Bank, now HSBC Bank USA.

Suffolk Bancorp is a one-bank holding company with $953 million of assets.
