Summit Bank Names Executive

Summit Bank in Morristown, N.J., a subsidiary of Princeton-based Summit Bancorp, has promoted William C. Gascoigne to senior vice president in the "centers of influence" department of its private bank division.

The department serves lawyers and accountants as well as their firms. Mr. Gascoigne was a vice president and team leader in the private banking division.

He has 15 years of experience in the banking industry. Before joining Summit in 1989 he worked for Paramus, N.J.-based First Fidelity Bank, later purchased by First Union Corp.. as a vice president in corporate lending and earlier as a vice president of international trade financing.

Mr. Gascoigne reports to George Littlejohn, group manager of Summit's professional services sector.
