Tech Bytes: Baker Hill Signs Up Two Banks as Clients

Baker Hill's small-business lending technology, One Point, and its loan origination software, One Path, will be installed at Ionia, Mich.-based Independent Bank Corp. and at Union Bank of California.

Baker Hill said the banks will use One Path to move applicant information along. It will electronically collect applications, and combine them with underwriter-supplied data to send to loan officers for review and approval via e-mail.

Union Bank aims to process 35% more loan applications without adding staff, said Beth Raphael, vice president and manager of its small-business center.

One Point handles sales automation, financial statement analysis, pricing, and management of profitability, collateral, and discrepancies.
