Tech Bytes: Baltimore Technologies Forges Logica Alliance

Baltimore Technologies, a leader in public key infrastructure systems and cryptographic tool kits for ensuring data security, said it formed a strategic partnership agreement with the consulting firm Logica.

Logica, based in London, is to market, sell, and integrate Baltimore's products to help customers assure end-to-end Internet security.

Logica said it will combine its project management skills and industry and technical knowledge in such areas as electronic commerce, on-line banking, and secure trading.

Alan Feast, Logica's e-commerce products sales manager, called Baltimore "a leader in the information security arena. Public key infrastructure technology has become the cornerstone of both e-commerce and enterprise security, and Baltimore's Unicert provides the most comprehensive solution for a wide variety of applications."
