Bank of Montreal has selected Web reporting software from Actuate Corp. of San Mateo, Calif., for its MasterCard clients.
Actuate's reporting tool, e.Reporting suite 4, will be integrated with the Web-based procurement system the bank developed for its large corporate purchasing-card clients.
Randy Ford, who runs the MasterCard business-to-business division for the bank, said clients will be able to manipulate data to customize reports via a Web browser and then export the data to multiple locations. He said Actuate is "very powerful" and can be extended to meet expected high growth in e-commerce.
Other clients of six-year-old Actuate, which reported $8.3 million of revenues for the first quarter of 1999, include Bank of America, Citibank, Chase Manhattan Corp., and J.P. Morgan & Co.
