AnyTime Access Inc., a leader in outsourced loan originations and related processing, said Electronic Data Systems Corp. will build and manage the Anytime Access Global Network.

The companies said the infrastructure, to be in place during the current quarter, will dramatically shorten a customer's application time while enabling consumer data to be shared with lending institutions in real time.

The multiyear networking contract with Plano, Tex.-based EDS will support round-the-clock service on all major categories of consumer loans with a "scalable and extensible architecture," said AnyTime Access chief executive officer Thomas R. Bollum.

EDS division president Dana Rowlett said, "AnyTime Access' approach serves as an extension to financial institutions' customer service departments, so customers feel that the person on the other end of the phone truly is a representative of their institution."
