Tech Bytes: SAS Adds 3 Clients, Expands Agreements

SAS Institute Inc., which sells software to support data warehousing and data mining, added First Security Bank, Toronto-Dominion Bank, and GE Capital Consumer Financial Services as customers during the second quarter.

Other institutions - including Textron Financial Corp., Fleet Financial Group, and Norwest Financial - expanded their use of SAS software and licensed additional products.

SAS said its systems are deployed in 4,700 financial services sites worldwide. About 23% of its $750 million in revenue last year came from the financial services industry.
