Tech Bytes: St. Paul Software's Web Site Emphasizes EDI

With hopes of revamping its corporate image, St. Paul Software, a provider of electronic data interchange systems, has posted a new site on the World Wide Web.

The 16-year-old company, which recently has released new products for the Windows NT computing platform, is trying to highlight its EDI capabilities. Electronic data interchange is the exchange of payments and related information in standardized computer formats.

The new Web site soon will include a place where viewers can sample St. Paul products that conduct data interchange over the Internet. "Our products help companies exchange things like purchase orders and invoices electronically," said Amy Spychalla, a spokeswoman.
