Tech Bytes: Unisys to Train 2,000 On Microsoft's NT

Microsoft Corp. and Unisys Corp. have announced a joint initiative to promote systems based on the Windows NT operating system.

Unisys of Blue Bell, Pa., will train and certify up to 2,000 professionals on Microsoft NT enterprise products and establish five application development centers dedicated to the government and financial services markets. The focus will include electronic delivery and payment systems, including check and remittance processing.

Unisys will operate a technology center at Microsoft's Redmond, Wash., base and a performance laboratory in Mission Viejo, Calif., to support clients. In addition, Unisys will standardize internally on Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Internet products.
