Tech Bytes: West 1 Buys Paragon System for Portfolios

BOSTON - West One Bancorp, an $8 billion-asset institution based in Boise, Idaho, has bought an investment and portfolio management system from Paragon.

The bank will process both its own portfolio and those of its affiliate institutions using the software.

Paragon's accounting system is PC-based. It automates reporting, accounting, and compliance functions for a wide range of investment instruments, including derivatives.

Paragon is owned by the Thomson Corp., which also owns the American Banker.
