The Federal Reserve Names Executives

MIDDLE ATLANTIC

The Federal Reserve System Board of Governors reappointed Donald J. Kennedy chairman and Joan Carter deputy chairwoman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.

Mr. Kennedy is legislative director of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Trenton, N.J. He has been a Philadelphia Fed director since 1991 and chairman for a year.

Ms. Carter is president and chief operating officer of UM Holdings Ltd., Haddonfield, N.J., which she co-founded in 1973. Its subsidiaries provide services to the pharmaceutical and health industries.

In addition, David B. Lee and J. Richard Jones were elected to the Philadelphia Fed's board of directors.

Mr. Lee is president and chief executive officer of Omega Bank and chairman and CEO of its holding company, Omega Financial Corp., State College, Pa.

Mr. Jones is president and chief executive officer of Jackson-Cross Company/Oncor International, a realty company based in Philadelphia.

The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York reelected two executives to two- year terms as directors.

They are: Alan L. Williams, president and chief executive officer of GSL Savings Bank, Guttenberg, N.Y., and Robert J. Bennett, chairman, president, and CEO of Onbank & Trust Co., Syracuse.

In addition, George E. Scharpf, president and CEO of Amboy National Bank, Old Bridge, N.J., and Atwood Collins 3d, New York City division president of M&T Bank, Buffalo, were elected to two-year terms as directors.
