The Florida Bankers Association, Tallahassee, last month named William D. Hussey to be interim executive vice president while a successor to John Milstead is chosen. Mr. Milstead died in November.

Mr. Hussey was president of the Florida League of Financial Institutions in 1994, when it merged with the bankers association. Since then he had been adviser to the merged group.

He has agreed to serve in the interim post for up to 180 days, the group said.
