Two from M.R. Beal join Murial Siebert's capital markets unit.

Two executives from M.R. Beal & Co. have moved to Muriel Siebert & Co., an official at Siebert has confirmed.

Lawrence Littig has joined the firm as a senior vice president and national municipal sales manager, and Stephen Leslie has joined as a senior vice president.

Littig will be responsible for overseeing the firm's institutional efforts, including working with existing clients and attracting new ones. He also will hire additional sales staff to boost the firm's sales efforts.

"We're making a real push into the municipal area and part of that is hiring a sales force," said Diana L. Taylor, vice president and head of capital markets at Muriel Siebert.

Previously, Littig, who has about 30 years of experience in the municipal bond industry, was a managing director at M.R. Beal.

Leslie, former senior vice president at M.R. Beal. will be in charge of national underwriting and municipal trading at Muriel Siebert.

The firm expects to continue to expand its capital markets division, which includes municipal sales and underwriting. corporate bonds, government agency securities, and equities, Taylor said.

Muriel Siebert & Co. is headed by Muriel Siebert, the first woman member of the New York Stock Exchange. M.R. Beal is a minority-owned firm.
