The American Bankers Association, in conjunction with state banking groups in New York and Virginia, has created a fund to help the victims of last weeks tragedies and their families.
The three associations, which announced the fund Friday, are accepting donations from banks, employees, and trade groups across the country. They plan to distribute the donations to local charitable organizations, which a board of bankers will select.
Checks should be made out to Victims and Families Relief Fund and sent to: American Bankers Association, Victims and Families Relief Fund, P.O. Box 791202, Baltimore, Md. 21279-1202.
