Volume at Honor surged in March.

MATILAND, Fla. -- Honor, the Florida-based electronic banking network, set monthly transaction records in March.

Automated teller machine and point of sale interchange transactions at the Southeast Switch Inc. unit totaled 20.5 million, up 23% from March 1993. Point of sale transactions jumped 69%, to 2.4 million. Local ATM volume -- Honor cards at Honor ATMs -- was up 15%. Gateway volume via other regional networks rose 40%, and national network volume rose 27%.
