Wamu Finance Unit Offers $300M of Notes

Aristar Inc., a consumer finance subsidiary of Washington Mutual, came to market Tuesday with $300 million of senior notes.

The notes, which mature in five years, were priced to yield 155 basis points more than comparable Treasuries. Banc One Capital Markets and First Union Capital Markets were co-lead managers.
